Governance Committee
The Governance Committee ensures that the Secretariat fulfils legal, ethical, and functional responsibilities through adequate governance policy development, recruitment strategies (nominations), training programs, monitoring of Secretariat activities, and continued evaluation of Secretariat members' performance.
Objectives of the Committee:
- Biannual review of ISOPPs governance policy(s) to assure alignment with ISOPP bylaws and strategic direction
- Create governance policies and procedures
- Oversee the Society’s legal obligations
- Oversee and maintain the Society’s bylaws
- Develop and revise recruitment strategies for ISOPP leadership roles
- Oversee the formation and work of the Nominations Task Force, which is chaired by the immediate ISOPP Past President
- Oversee the election process (review of the slate and ballot before posting, and review of the results)
