Mentorship Program

For pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, undertaking project work (i.e. research and service evaluation) is an important and potentially hugely rewarding part of our role.  By asking questions and generating answers about the services that we provide and the drugs that we use, we can improve our practice and have a positive impact on patient care.

However, undertaking projects can sometimes be a daunting task, and pharmacy professionals may feel nervous about embarking on their research journey.  But help is at hand – ISOPP have set up a research mentorship program involving a team of experienced pharmacists from across the globe who are here to support ISOPP members to develop and deliver service evaluations and research projects.  So, if you have an idea for a project and would like some expert help in turning that idea into a reality, please get in touch.

Research mentorship

There is a short form to complete which allows you to provide key background information, including the level and nature of support that you think you may need.  The ISOPP Research Committee will then review your application and will aim to match you up to the most appropriate mentor (or mentors) from within our expert pool (see flow chart below).

If you feel that you need additional information or would like to chat more about the process either before, during or after completing an application form, then please feel free to contact the Research Committee at research@isopp.org.  We are very excited about this new initiative and hope that it will be a valuable resource for our members.
