The Hospital Pharmacists Association of Kenya (HOPAK) hosted ISOPP’s first ever Africa Regional Oncology Pharmacy Symposium took place May 16-17, 2019 at The Tamarind Tree Hotel in Nairobi. This two-day event, followed by Masterclasses on May 18 , was chaired by Irene Weru, ISOPP and HOPAK member. We expected about a hundred pharmacists and technicians, from facilities where oncology is offered (and from facilities where they would like oncology to be offered). Participants came from Kenya and other African countries, such as Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia and South Africa.

ISOPP’s Australasia Regional Oncology Pharmacy Symposium (AusROPS 2019) took place April 6-7, 2019 at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Peter Mac is one of the world’s leading cancer research, education and treatment centres globally and is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer. ISOPP’s Australasia Symposium has been taking place every other year since 1999 and now it’s the 11 th Symposium!
