Visit to the National Institute of Oncology
Wednesday, April 26, 13:00 - 14:30
Members of the Local Planning Task Force invite you to visit the National Institute of Oncology, the only comprehensive cancer centre both in Hungary and in its neighbouring countries. The visit will be guided by Attila Szűcs, ISOPP 2017 Symposium Chair and Chief Pharmacist at the National Institute of Oncology. See below for registration and meeting details.
The National Institute has been the epidemiological, organizational, methodological, treatment, research and training centre of Hungarian oncology for more than half a century, and is comparable to any other country's national oncology institute.
It developed and manages an internationally qualified National Cancer Control Program, which has determined the direction of Hungarian oncology for the past decade and is the foundation of the oncological chapters of the national health government policies.
The National Institute manages the National Cancer Register and is continuously engaged in conversations regarding the structure and activity of Hungarian oncology. Its mandate is to support universities, hospitals, the National Board of Oncology, the Hungarian League Against Cancer and many other professional- and social associations.
Pre-registration is required via the online registration site and space is limited.
The National Institute is located at Ráth György u. 7-9, 1122 Budapest. Visit the Budapesti Közlekedési Központ (Centre for Budapest Transport) website for details on how to get from the Budapest Marriott Hotel to the National Institute using public transportation. The meeting point is in Building 1 on the first floor in the board room (indicated on floorplan of the National Institute below). Or if you prefer, meet in the lobby of the Budapest Marriott Hotel at 12:15 to be escorted to the National Institute by Ákos Juhász, Clinical Pharmacist at the National Institute.
