The ISOPP Town Hall was held virtually on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 5:30 AM PST.
Members pre-submitted the following thought-provoking questions, which ISOPP Leadership addressed during the session, sharing insights and future initiatives:
- With the emergence of advanced specialities such as geriatric oncology, cardio oncology, endocrine oncology should we create working groups to help create medication management guidelines for patients who fall into these cohorts?
- How can ISOPP support the role of cancer pharmacists in clinical trials and the introduction of new drugs for cancer treatment?
- How can ISOPP help in advancing cancer care in sub Saharan Africa through making sure that cancer medicines are accessible?
- Has ISOPP considered delivering a 1 or 2 year course for specialization in cancer pharmacy?
- Can ISOPP consider some form of mentoring for new to cancer pharmacists?
- How can ISOPP support sharing of knowledge across countries and professionals on how they tackle health inequalities in cancer?
Check out the recording in the Virtual Library (log in as a member) to hear the responses to these and additional live questions from participants.
What is a Town Hall?
A Town Hall is a meeting to allow the membership of the organization to communicate in an open way with the ISOPP leadership team about the society.
You may have a great idea to share. You may want ISOPP to do something differently. Tell us, and a panel of volunteers from the leadership team will be there to answer questions and discuss ideas.
