Johan Vandenbroucke, Ghent University Hospital Ghent, Ghent, Belgium
Olga Delgado, Son Espases University Hospital, Palma, Majorca, Spain
Hamza F. Al Samanhodi, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
A growing amount of evidence points to the dangers of hazardous drug exposure for healthcare workers during preparation and administration. Changes in how institutions mitigate hazardous drug exposure are anticipated to rapidly evolve as individuals become better informed. Please join us as three international speakers address the evidence supporting the proven risks, examine the different controls that are designed to protect healthcare workers and communicate the different existing and emerging guidelines that exist globally.
This symposium will:
- Explore the evidence on the dangers of hazardous drug exposure;
- Examine engineering controls designed to protect healthcare workers from exposure; and
